This policy explains how BEEM Labs Limited ("we", "us", "BEEM Labs") collects, uses, and protects information through the Cricket Skills App and related services. It's written for parents, guardians, players, and coaches using the app.
Who we are

A note on children's data
The Cricket Skills App is designed for junior cricket players, most of whom are children. We treat this responsibly:
- A player's data and video are private by default.
- A coach can only see a player's information after the player's parent or guardian has approved that specific connection.
- A parent or guardian can remove a coach's access at any time.
- Uploaded photos, videos, and voice notes can be deleted by the player, guardian, or the coach who added them.
- We do not run public leaderboards or public player profiles — nothing about a player's activity is visible outside their own approved coach/guardian connections.
Information we collect
Account information
We collect the email address used to sign in. We use passwordless "magic link" sign-in — we do not store passwords.
Profile information
Information provided when setting up a player, guardian, or coach profile — such as a display name and relevant coaching details (for example, age group or which hand a player bats/bowls with, where provided).
Coaching and progress data
Drills completed, checklist results, coach notes, assigned drills, and the connections between a player, their guardian(s), and any linked coach.
Media you choose to upload
Photos, videos, and voice notes uploaded by a player, guardian, or coach as part of the coaching feedback process (for example, a player's practice clip, or a coach's spoken feedback).
How we use this information
- To provide the app's core features — drill tracking, progress history, and the coach feedback loop.
- To connect a player with a guardian and, once approved, a coach.
- To let a guardian or coach review progress and leave feedback.
- To keep the service secure and working correctly.
We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to third parties.
Who we share data with
We use Supabase to host our database, handle sign-in, and store uploaded media. Supabase acts as our data processor — they store data on our behalf under their own security and data-protection commitments, and don't use it for their own purposes.
Within the app itself, data is only visible to the people a player's guardian has approved: the player, their guardian(s), and any coach the guardian has specifically linked and approved.
How we protect your data
Access to data in our database is enforced by database-level security rules (Row Level Security), meaning a user can only ever read or change data they're actually authorised to see — not just data the app's screens happen to hide. All connections to our services are encrypted.
Data retention
We keep account and coaching data for as long as the account is active. A player, guardian, or coach can request deletion of their data or specific uploaded media at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you (or, for a child's data, their parent or guardian) have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you or your child.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete data.
- Withdraw consent for a coach connection at any time.
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you have concerns about how we handle data.
